TASTE AND TOAST
Annual Taste and Toast
Originally organized as a venue to discuss community issues, The Taste and Toast has evolved into a cheerful annual celebration of our District’s success. Held at the Burden Lake Country Club, this event is a great opportunity for Averill Park residents to get together after the long winter. The event includes delicious eats complimented with tastings from local brewers, wineries and distilleries. All proceeds assist the Foundation in supporting programs that enhance the cultural and educational opportunities for students in the Averill Park School District.
Annual Golf Fundraiser
The Greenbush Open is a community golf event held each July in memory of Dr. Frank “Doc” Devane, a long-time supporter of Averill Park School District. Community members enjoy a beautiful day of golfing at The Burden Lake Country Club in support of the Foundation and its mission to enhance the cultural and educational opportunities for students in the Averill Park School District.
Annual Fundraising Gala
The annual Gala is the Foundation’s premier event held scheduled November. Held at the Old Daley on Crooked Lake, community members convene for dinner and social hour in celebration and recognition of students, community volunteers, and educators. The Foundation presents the Volunteer and Educator Awards honoring individuals who continue to make our school district a special place. The Gala showcases the creativity and diversity of talented Averill Park students in an ARTWALK and a musical performance by the APHS Jazz Ensemble. Charitable auctions are also a feature of this cheerful event that supports our small community, and most importantly, has significant impact our students' lives.
